The Association of the Friends of Jean Langlais was created on 9th December, 2005 after the first Langlais Festival which took place in the summer of 2005. Its purpose is:
- to organise cultural and musical events
- to promote and perpetuate the memory and work of Jean Langlais
- to develop musical culture, especially among the young
The Association organised a second, larger festival in 2006 and it has now become an annual event, uniting French and international singers and musicians.
